Overview: Workspaces
Workspace is a meta-project that allows you to create, edit, collaborate, and manage multiple thematic projects simultaneously.
Think of a workspace as a container for your projects — a space where you:
- Collect various resources (datasets, images, GeoJSONs, PDFs, CSVs, and more)
- Create stories
- Publish stories on the marketplace
- Collaborate on annotation projects
- Gather and share insights
- Analyze data
A workspace provides a unified and secure experience, enabling streamlined interactions between you, your coworkers, and supervisors. Each workspace project has its own privacy controls, purpose, theme, layers, statistics, dashboard, and more.
Key Concepts
Here are some of the key concepts of a workspace:
- Workspaces: Project container that consists of layers, analyst tools, story, reports, and insights.
- Layers: Container for geospatial features and their styling/filters.
- Features: Individual geometries/items within a layer that you add, edit, delete, or export.
- Tabs: Every workspace consists of Exploration (default landing page), Insights, Dashboard, Story, Reports, Comments tabs. |
- Analyst Tools: Purpose-built analysis actions available in Exploration (and in Annotation).
