Overview
Workspaces is the heart of the analytics in gIQ. It allows a user to organize their files thematically for easier use, and it allows for temporary processing. This allows the user to conduct analysis without cluttering the full exploration view.
1. Layout of workspaces
When entering workspaces, you have to choose between creating a new workspace or open an already existing one.
- Create a new workspace. (See Creating Workspaces for a step-by-step guide to create a new workspace)
- Open a existing workspace. At first glance you will see the workspace name, private or public, how many files inside workspace, who created the workspace and when.
- You can filter between active or archived workspaces.
- You can search for a specific workspace by name, date or who created the workspace.
2. Layout within a workspace
- Layer list which consists of all files within the workspace. When zooming in on the map, all geo-tagged files that are located outside of the field of view will not be showed in the list.
On the top of the layer list field, you will see three icons for creating a new drawing layer, vector layer, Toggle footprints visibility and Toggle filters. - Toolbar (See Toolbar description for details regarding each tool)
- Exploration tab is the main tab for exploitations of data and creating your drawings and vector features.
- Insights tab consists of statistics and forecast features.
- Annotation tab is mainly for the creations of models.
- Story tab is for the creation of stories which is a way of presenting exploited data and information. There is an option of sharing stories available. Final products can be further disseminated. (See how to create a story)
- Edit workspace is where you can change settings for the workspace, add and remove layers and set dynamic filters.
